Man, the billet hubs are so nice. Gonna try and get one axle a month until they’re all replaced. Noticed some slight bends in other axles after getting that one replaced.

I’m going to go ahead and order one I think. I do have the old cast hubs. Though I will say, I was beating the heck out of that thing with a mini sledge to get it out and still didn’t bend it.  (Why do we not have a sledge hammer emoji?)  :)) The billet looks much beefier.

Dozer. Here are the good ones.

https://6x6parts.com/max_ii_solid_axle_17_3_4-_bolt_on_style_-_clone_-_-_clone_-.html

The ones with the billet hubs and 3/8" thick wheel hubs are in photo below  I have 4 of these on my Max, never bent one, MUCH better than the factory crappy ones that bend all the time.

Better order new ones  whistling . make  sure you get the good ones with solid billet steel hubs with the 3/8". wheel plate thickness, not the cast iron crappy ones with the thin wheel plates that bend so easy.

Just as good and Cheaper !! Just use good solid bar stock Not just Cold roll steel. I turn a small nipple on the end of the bare and run it through the center of the hub then weld her up.

Yup. They’re hollow. I was asking if having my hubs turned off and welded to solid stock was better than buying the solid axles.

It’s really pitted and bent right at the bearing, making the bearing unbearable to get off. Pun intended.
