After 3 years of having 2 max machines I think I can chime in.   Great machines but could definitely use improvements on simple things like belt removal and installation, and the way the table covers the trans which makes it hard to work on. I’ve been taking notes over the last 3 years and have learned a lot about these machines, and hopefully will be making some much needed changes ( in my opinion) but I’ll tell you I haven’t found another machine out there that has done what my max has. After owning a business for over 24 years I’ve learned to ask all the questions you can and put qualified people behind the tasks. Max or whoever the new owner is please ask others what they think before you build what you think popcorn sit back eat popcorn and listen.   That’s my 2 cents

The old Max is a good machine. It's dated and can stand to be updated but it is a solid machine.  They didn't go under because of it being a bad machine (i'm sure we all know why that happened).  Keeping the design the same helped keep the cost down and the company profitable.  As a start, I would not mind seeing the same machines with some updates and once reestablished then doing a complete new machine to add the the line up, but again we know why that is not happening.

It will be interesting if they ever make a new machine, I just hope it just not the some old MAX machines.

Update from MXI

I found this on the other site, it posted today.  I thought I would pass it on.

Update on New Max ATVs

I got curious if we’d ever see the Max brand again. I’ve never owned one but I’ve always been intrigued. I emailed MXI. Here is the response I got. Sorry if this is old news to anyone but I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere, either on these forums or elsewhere.

“Ownership of the MAX brand has been transferred to MXI, which is parent company to Agile Vehicle Technologies Limited (AVT) based in Great Britain. Satellite divisions are also being established in Indonesia and the United States.

After conducting a detailed design review of the range of MAX vehicles, AVT has decided to develop a completely new range of 8x8 and 6x6 vehicles, building upon a few of the best elements from the legacy MAX design.

The new line of AVT vehicles will be much more robust than the older MAX design, since they are designed to be suitable for utility, industrial, and commercial use.

Adaptability to different configurations is a keystone of the new AVT range, permitting the user to configure the vehicle for either maximum passenger capacity or for maximum cargo capacity as the need dictates.

We are finalizing work on prototype vehicles and preparing for production to commence sometime in Spring 2018. As we get closer to that date, we will have details on the complete range of vehicles and pricing, and we will update you on developments. In the meantime, please keep an eye on www.agvtec.com or www.maxatvs.com
