It should be a great weekend. For those who haven't been on the new track: it's faster, smoother, and even more Amphib-friendly than the old route, but I do miss the bowl and the off-camber turn. Word is that the track will include a mud pit just for us on the October weekend. Looking forward to seeing everybody again.

Whipper & Bridget; you have to fly out here for one of these when you can. I know it's too far to drive and lug all the machines with you, so the Kinyons will put you each in a racer for at least a class or two. It's just not the same without you two!

Myself and maybe a few others will be there. Don't have a racer built yet. Have an old 400 chief and a poly body for it that needs to get done but there's no way that's gonna happen by October as I've yet to build a roll bar for the trail machine yet!! This needs to be done by October so Egoperf and myself can play!!!  😬

I heard you and Whipper did alot to get things going again, thank you.  I hope everyone appreciates what you two have done.  I was there for the June event this year and we ran the trails.  The track was under construction so no racing.  I believe you can see the new track layout on Pine Lake's Facebook page.

It would be nice if you could make a future event there.

Thanks for posting the dates for anyone that can go. Trying to keep racing alive can be challenging, but they are trying to do their best.

Can't blame some people that don't want to make a 400-500 mile drive to get there.

We drove back 2 years in a row 2,000 miles ONE WAY with a 16 foot trailer & gas at over $4 a gallon & prepaid $$ to help pay for plaques & an ambulance to be present  for 2 days the first time &  same but a little more $$, for 3 days the second time so everyone could get on the track for test & tune, Heats & Finals.  It didn't happen, no ambulance. We didn't start feeling better till we crossed the New Mexico border going home.

However, we hope they will continue to do their best to keep racing alive... always will. Pine Lake is a great track with great memories & there is nothing like the feeling you get when racing these things on a track & making new memories. Hope they have a GREAT turnout. :)

I see the fall 2017 Pine Lake 6x6 semiannual gathering is scheduled for October 20, 21, 22.  Does anyone plan on attending?
