Oil Cooling

(1/1)

Allwheeldrive:
With the Coot running so great I drove it a ton over the weekend. 1.5 hours on Sat and 2 on Sunday.

I have noticed the torque transfer boxes [boxes where diffs would be but instead solid axle with worm-gear] sometimes get slightly warm after driving it around for a little while.

The trek in woods on Saturday I noticed the boxes had gotten the warmest I'd felt, maybe 85-90 degrees nothing I worried about. However the next day was incredibly demanding on the drive train with the engine under full load for those 2 hours non-stop the boxes got warmer, than hot, than too hot to even touch. I didn't have a temp gun but I'd say they where no less then 130 degrees about the same temperature as hi powered LED flashlight heads get. too hot to handle but won't melt your skin off if you press against it for 1/8th of a secound.

Both boxes had fresh oil (changed it on Saturday before ride) I don't think anything is wrong I just figure Coots are not usually driven anywhere near as hard as I use mine so this has never been a problem for anyone else till now. My question is what would be the best way to actively cool them? I figure a small oil pump and radiator would make a word of difference. I was thinking: https://www.amazon.com/Transfer-Extractor-Diesel-Electric-Motorbike/dp/B01KZIFZVK/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_263_bs_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JAA1PHTNZFSGG6EZ4BNT + https://www.amazon.com/AGPtek%C2%AE-Aluminum-Exchanger-Radiator-Computer/dp/B00CFDS3JA/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1505831803&sr=1-3&keywords=cpu+radiator Should work pretty good, wanted to see if anyone had any opinions or a cheaper way to do this.
