Well you have a point ! And as you know some times a little flex is Good as to Tight and ridged can be worse !!
The old man use to tell me that the racecar never handles good till you bend her up a bit ! LOL!! That would be a Dirt car.

it doesn't really flex that much at that point. just to keep it more stable. it would have to be destroyed to pull thru. actually I'm not done really.
it still flexes a little, but will to try it and see. may have to tie the cage into that front side plate cross bar, still looking at maybe adjustable hime joint set up to further stabilize.

Looks good for sure But I have to ask one thing. And I am in NO Way second guessing you !
But would it be Better to put a small Plate on the outside also ? So as to Sandwich the Plastic tub between two Metal plates.
This way it distributes the stress out in a bigger section.
I would be afraid the Bolt heads will pull through ?
I do the same thing when putting small roll bars in some Hobby stock cars that don't have a Frame to tie into.

SOOOOOOOOO now onto the front seat, yes the front seat. the seat frame can be modified to hold up the sides of the tub at the front. i will use 3/4 heavy wall square tubing [ 11 gauge ] i will use good primer paint and black gloss enamel for the finish. 1/2 bolts to hold the tub up.

its flexing because of the springer kit and the places that i take it. that front cross bar has to be their to secure the side plates but when off roading and doing extreme flexing it tends to pull on the body from either direction at the front causing it to slightly buckle the tub. i could tie that whole front section together and keep it from flexing altogether but may run into other issues.

Will that take care of the stress going upward ?
Could you add some plates like 3"X 2" up the front on the inside to expand the pressure out over a wider area ?
Just trying to help as I Know you know this machine better than I do !
I was just thinking of where it cracked and thought it may have been flexing in the middle of that big flat area ??
