Can anyone identify these and what their purpose may have been?
Looks like the are made from aluminium and may or may not be threaded internally.
There are 4 running across the "stern" of the Argo and one up near the muffler.

I would say thy are for a Top to be put on . Like for a Snap Bar ?

Those are what’s known as a nut-sert. Argo still uses them for accessories such as grab bars on rear tub area. They fit into a blind hole and expand with a tool similar to pop rivit or can be done with a bolt and nut. Quick and easy way to install threads in thin material. Not really strong.

There are two side handles on either side of the front seat that must have been relocated from the "stern".
Don't really like them there as one tends to hit their behind on them and it hurts. A LOT.
They may be getting moved back soon.
