I have foreword and reverse but I have to hold the stick in reverse with my leg for it to stay. And my right side seems sloppier than the left.

Can a t20 trans have the band adjustment done with the engine and table on.
YES but a band adjustment is not going to make it shift better.
You may have other problems inside. popcorn popcorn

Ascaw thanks for the heads up on left and right side. And again thank you guys and gals for the help with this trans, you have all saved me a bunch of money, and I want the newcomers on the forum to know this. This, IS what makes me come to THIS site every evening. We may use our 6x6’s differently, but the problems with the equipment seems to be the same across the board.   I can’t thank you all enough. banana

Isn't that what Whip was racing back to the truck to get in your "Lone Ranger" video?

Nope, that was a heim joint that we broke. One of 18. But he didn't bring any extras. He was just going back for tools so I could ride back on 5 wheels after he swapped out one of the heim joints on a center wheel.

Whip just informed me that he always carries a right & left shift lever with new pins when we go riding. Five min fix if we ever needed one.

Just an FYI, The diamond shifters are different for each side.  The right side requires a right side shifter and the left side requires a left side shifter.  Mark yours if you haven't already done so to prevent getting them backwards.

Had to take out a hunting party today. I wanted to look aver the max and check a few things out that everyone was talking about but that didn’t work out. I haven’t driven it since the axle break,  once the axle went in, then the chains, then the motor, then started it, then rode in a circle, then figured out something was wrong with the trans. Now need to get that resolved, I noticed a vibration, and it seemed to be on or around that trans clutch, not shure if it’s name, but It does it in neutral and drive, i picked it up with the forcklift (wedgelish I think) and it seemed to be less vibration.

Next potential problem, I have a vibration when the motor is running, it seems to be the clutch that attaches to the t 20 when I pry the clutch open to get the belt on could I have bent that clutch? Or somehow could the red spring have slipped. I just noticed this after the broken axle. At idle motor seems fine, give it a little gas it starts vibrating bad, then more rpms it seems to get better.

Are you getting the vibration when driving it? Are you getting this vibration sitting on the ground in neutral or is it on blocks? Could be something as simple as a tranny mount or engine mount working loose. Check the simple & obvious stuff first.
