Thy look good to me . But I only had 1 set of tracks on a Max 2 and thy was Plastic just like those.
Did you run them yet ?
Only used the tracks briefly when I first got the machine. They are back on now for the winter.
Assuming I can get the ice out of the bottom of the tub.

Usually the 1/2 link is used when removing a full segiment makes it to tight. You want at least 2” sag under center tires when tires are at 6-7 psi for those plastic tracks. If the knuckles where the pins pass through are worn to within 1/8” of the pins the tracks are getting to a breaking point soon. Good luck with the Argo.

Does this look like the proper tension / sag for the tracks?

The metal link is a half link used to adjust the track tension. That Argo should have body clearance if the tub hasn’t sagged down onto tires.

I was wondering about the over inflation of the tires.
The two center ones on each side are completely bald and look like balloons. I think they may have stretched over time.
I am going to try and deflate all the tires with valve cores out and then re-inflate and watch the clearance at the top and see if I can eliminate the steel link.
There does not appear to be any body sag at least none I can determine. The rubbing has only affected the left hand side, right side is ok.

Is it safe to assume that metal link was added afterwards and not originally needed?

The metal link is a half link used to adjust the track tension. That Argo should have body clearance if the tub hasn’t sagged down onto tires. With new tires you may have to install a full link. I start all track installs at 5 psi and measure the circumference of each tire with fabric tape. Argo recommends installing tires on avenger type vehicles from front , smallest , largest , 2nd largest,2nd smallest. Mainly for body clearance and chain binding. I’ve also seen tires that were overinflated for long periods of time being several inches in circumference larger than when new. You may have to push the body up and brace it to get proper clearance.

I have no real idea. Only had the Argo a couple of months. Took the tracks off in the beginning as I am replacing bearings and patching holes at this point.

I was afraid that was the issue.
Need at least 4 new tires but was hoping to keep the crap ones on this winter with the tracks.
And buy 4 new 22's in the spring.
What if I removed that steel link and ran real low tire pressures?

Ok I got it now. I thought you had the inner bearing tie in plate. I would think you may want to drop Down to a Smaller tire like a 21"
To get the clearance your looking for . I didn't know it was rubbing at the top.

Yes it has wheel spacers  but its the clearance above that is the issue.

This pic shows the spacers and the metal link in the tracks.

The Plate is to Help Secure the outer bearings . Kinda like a Stiffener . When you run Tracks 90% of the machines need Wheel spacers put on to step the rim & Tire out so as Not to let the track rub on the tub.
So if your machine doesn't have those on it then that's why thy are rubbing.
