O YES
all I used, I built a house in 2009 and used 8 inches of closed cell spray foam, this was in Northern Maine with the coldest temps in the US and i would never ever go back to PINK fiberglass again, in 2010 I built my 30x60 grarage with in bedded radiant heat in the concrete and closed cell foam and WOW WOW WOW, super warm and comfy
things I learned
1. Closed cell is expensive, in your area 4 inches would most likely be fine
2. Open cell is cheap but you need much more, 8-12 inches, still cheaper than Closed
my garage build was as follows, from inside out
1/2 OSB with epoxy paint
2x6 studs
3 inches closed cell sprayfoam
1/2 exterior plywood
micro vent wrap. it is silver and vented
metal roof siding
Cieling
2 inch white bead foam board, taped at seems
5 inches closed cell spray foam
IMO spend it now if you can, insulation cost is ONCE, heating and cooling cost is for life, dont look at the total cost of spray foam and go WOW expensive, look at the differance in price from spray foam and pink and that is what it will cost..then you will see not a huge diff for a ton of heat and AC savings..
Long winded Sorry
