Engine weight means nothing.
HP and the right tires will get you through your mudding.
Ungoverend BIG BLOCK.

Actually I was wondering what is the lightest weight engine for this thing? I live in South Arkansas, and down here mud and water are priority one. I'm interested in keeping this thing as light as possible to improve mudding ability.

I don't think that is the stock sprocket, but the 30 tooth would be perfect.
Your ready for a Big Block 4 stroke?

Sorry for the delayed response, Whipperag.....been living at work lately. Drive sprocket from the T-20 is 30 teeth, drive sprockets to axles are 26 tooth.

No modifications at all to the frame. I helped Rob convert his hustler, no problems
just buy all the right stuff. You should be able to get splined axles from Richard.
This is the perfect time to change your gearing. How many teeth in your final drive sprocket driven by the T-20?

Whipperag, I would love to, and convert to splined axles as well. Not sure of what the cost would be, and are any frame mods necessary?

I prefer eccentric lock collars. Argo uses setscrew locks and I find they are almost always loose on the axle. The eccentrics seldom come loose if set properly. I started sealing the eccentrics to the axle with a small string of strip calk wrapped on the axle and compressed against the bearing. This stops leaks at axle on new instal and helps bearing not rusting onto axle. That bearing number I gave should have R after for relubricable. Possibly 3 for triple seal. Standard Max bearings are triple seal. Richard should have proper inner and outer bearings.

I know Richard has Hustler parts. Check 6x6parts.com or give him a call if you don't see what you are looking for.

The inners are machined down to 1", and have double setscrews. The outers that were installed also had double set screws instead of eccentric locking collars. Are the eccentrics the standard? Or should I try to find double set screw outers like I had?
