I have seen a black bodied Max II.

Back in the day you could get all types of colors . Thy use to have a Black body also.

It is My favorite as ALL my racecars was orange and yellow . Other than the Stock cars thy was red white & blue

Looks like the orange bodies were molded and sold by RI before all the carnage went down.
I know that’s right because there’s no way I would have bought anything from Indiana.
Rumor has it there were 10 or maybe 20 orange bodies molded in 2 different lots.
Some had the orange peel finish and some were smooth.
A few were sold to key employees, I bought one and the rest were sold, some assembled, some not.
They were a very limited edition for that color.

Yea I kind of remember Galen telling me something like that when I was a Dealer for Rec.
I wanted a Blue one back when thy redid the Green into that Spinach looking deal.
I would like to see the others as like I said I Never saw one before Whip's !

As best as we can recall, minimum order for a particular color was 10. Will try to find out for sure from someone that kept a paper trail. 

One was a completely assembled orange machine that was built in Buffalo. See if we can find the picture.

That deal went down a looong time ago. Our understanding is there are at least 7 more out there somewhere. They're somewhere.
