We posted this in the axle bearing removal thread. Maybe it will help a little. At least you might be able to determine on your own if all the bearings need to be replaced or just the one and if you feel you can do it on your own.

If I was closer I would do it for you but I am in Lower PA. If you got the collars off ( lose ) And the sprockets unbolted all you need to do is Take the outer bearing rings off and pull the axle out of the machine.
It is Not real fun but can be done on jack stands.

I'm the owner of a mid 90's Max IV that has been (ab)used and enjoyed for the past 2 years.

Recently it started making a banging noise when turning left and discovered that (at least) the interior rear right bearing has gone. While I have managed to remove both locking collars and the engine, I am ill equipped to remove the axle itself.

Does anyone have any leads on anywhere in the Albany, NY area that would be equipped and experienced to make the repair? It most likely worth replacing all bearings at this point.
