Hi ALL
Here is a little story/advice on what NOT to do when keeping your AATV outside, I moved from Maine to VA last month and needed to keep my MAX at my Amish friends house temporarily,(it was literarily a last min plan as it did not fit on my trailer). I parked it with the front up on a ramp to insure any water in the tub from rain would drain right out. This past Wednesday in 7 inches of freaking snow I went to put it into the uhaul truck and noticed it was full of water/ICE. I was like WTF.
Well apparently I forgot to remove the drain plugs, and a months worth of rain was in the tube and 1/2 of it was frozen solid I was able to get it started and I had to let it run for over an hr for the engine block to warm up and melt all the ice.
Moral of the story?
INSURE YOUR DRAIN PLUGS ARE REMOVED if you have no choice to leave it outside uncovered....
