Thanks ascaw i have all new bands they were not black but looked brown to me.and it seemed to start out about an inch off then 2 or 3 very fast

Was the right stick 2 or 3 inches in front of the left?  I had a similar thing happen and it was a band that delaminated.  This should be the thread.  It's called "Opened the T-20".  http://6x6talk.com/index.php?topic=136.0

Right side 1/8 inch out on plunger only on forward but the drum in question was the left. All new bands I wonder if I got my left and right correct.may need wfo drums if you still have them but I’m running two different clutching teeth I will need to take it back down

If band. in question was. installed on a worn or bit rough drum, that would make that band need adjustment due to band wear.

look and make sure the plunger is not pulling out of the case. if the bands are good the plunger should just come up to the edge of the case.
if the bands are really good and drums good it will sit down inside the plunger hole when pulling either direction.

How out of adjustment is it?  Are the bands new or new newly relined?  What was the reason for the rebuild?

Is it bad to need band adjustment after 1 hour of 1 side
