So what was this 8x8? An Argo or a Mudd-OX.

We have a 50 ton John deer excavator and a 30 ton.  Without the mats we can get more than 15 ft from the edge.  As the saying goes.  If it was easy everyone would do it.

That must be some Nasty stuff ! sounds like you need to Track hoes and a Cable with a Mole board between to Pull over it ?

I would pay a days wage for everyone.  BUT.   I’ll feel real bad when parts start breaking.   Without ice it’s a must for tracks.  I payed a guy with a tracked 8x8 last year $150 cash and fueled him when he came and when he left. We should all just come down / over with our machines and run the $hit out of it and it will ALL be down !

Yea but it is just a little rework that's all. The Newer Max 2 had the muffler inside and ran out the back of the lower tube. But your top would need to be cut out . It could be done But to do it Rite you need time . And sorry But you Don't have that rite now.
I am Planning on doing this to my Max 2 after March . But who knows I may do it sooner ? 
Depends on Time and funds. But I do have a good size Leak in my Flex pipe I don't like.

I’m certainly guilty of equipment abuse but only for a Couple of months, and I try to buy the best parts for them knowing that when it’s time, they get used. I just posted the 8 n tractor I’m running with a bush hog on the ice. That’s the only good thing about this cold snap, I could never in years past run a tractor on the ice. But those 6 wheels do a much better job than the 2 on the tractor. Only have 1 ac left

I have one of those But it is My max 2 now. I was thinking of pulling it to go bigger but not rite now.

When I put in the 23 on the4 it wasn’t bad but the muffler on the 2 might be a problem

Most engines will swap rite over . The throttle is the only real big thing to swap over as long as it is Not a Stand Alone engine. That's one with the key switch and all mounted rite on the engine Like the Predators are. Then you need to start rewiring it a little .
But if you stick to the same set up as you have your should be good to go . What size engine is in it now ?
