Sounds like you just need a bilge pump.
Some of the bearings are sealed pretty good.
The problem is usually in the flanges that hold the bearings.
They just don't fit that well and usually some water will always get in.
you can try cleaning the tub around the flanges real good and spray
the flange where it meets the body with Flex Seal.
Just some Ideas.

orangemax: Hello everyone. I'm a recent buyer of an old Maxiv looks as though its a 93. I put a carb on it and its running great now. However when in the water for brief perios I see seepage inside around where the axles go through the hull. I watched a video on max II bearing replace ment. I was hoping I could siply pull the flanges off the outside of the hull and reseal. However the inner flange seems too tight to pull off the bearing. So now I'm wondering how many things I need to take off to fix it? I tapped the flange around trying to freeit and now the gasket is messed up so I need to get it off to put 3m behind it again. Thanks in advance for any thoughts people may have?
