Probably when Whipper was still driving his gov't issued drab green machine overseas. Jerseybigfoot raced then, too, I believe. Oh, ya, Jersey was an old timer.  ;D

I thought there would be more for some reason.  I guess it's just one of those things in life where people just move on to different interests.  Especially since the six wheel racing went away for quite a while when the mainstream interest went to 3 and 4 wheelers (now SxS).  Six wheelers, IMHO, are still the most fun to operate and watch.

Were there many of the same drivers in 2009/10 that you competed against back in the day?

Only one. Jeff Laughlin (Techfx's dad from the other site). Don was a junior back then. And I believe even Bud Fischer was a junior back then. The Gerber boys were quite young ,too. Their mom, Dorothy, used to race Powder Puff & it was an absolute pleasure to meet their dad, Howard.
Almost forgot Little G's dad, Jim, but he didn't race & Scott Slonacker  in 2010, but he didn't race either, even though we offered him one of our springers.

Junior & Powder Puff didn't have that many entrants. The other classes had so many entrants requiring the field to be narrowed down in the heat races. Those could have anywhere from 4 to 6 abreast & at least 2 to 3 rows back. They would qualify for their pole position by how they finished in the heats. Don't remember what the cutoff point was for # of machines in each class to get in the finals if there were a lot of entrants. And there usually were. Pretty happy how many people came out to race. Veterans & newbies. Yes, good times.

Good times.

How many of them did you race against in the 70's?

Racing is back. The 40th Anniversary of AATV Reunion racing took place in May 2009.
Believe it or not, we only have about 4 videos to share from 2009. If you have any videos to share, feel free to post here with the date/year & location of the race.  :)
