Whipper thanks for the pics I’m going to see if I can just use the cup and the regular washer. I understand that if the bolt is too long, add more. I’ll probably purchase the right size bolt if it is. Thanks again

Usually there is just the cup washer and a thick one with right bore to keep the bolt centered.
I doesn't matter, If the bolt is too long just add some washers.
Just make sure you tighten it. :)) :))
These 2 pics are of the scorpion and the Spider.

looks like they did that because the bolt may have been too long.  ::)

Ok I looked at the pic.
And NO those 2 big washers Don't belong there. You can run them if you bolt is to long but that's all there good for !
The CUP washer looks to be rite and the Small Thick washer go's against that . But the other two was added .

Couldn’t post the pics here so I did it the only way I knew.  I loosened the bolt for a better pic. The clutch is new.  when I removed the old one this is the way the washers were. It works but it just looked rigged to me. I wanted to put it back the factory way. I can tear up enough on my own so I don’t need help half a$$ing something as simple as a few washers. Don’t know why I couldn’t post on the thread but it wouldn’t let me. Thanks for the help

I don't have enough wrenching on the clutches or pics to be of much help but try this.  You may have already seen it.  Not sure if this is what you need.  There is also a service bulletin toward the bottom for the 700 series detailing how to disassemble and reassemble.

Comet clutch washers
« Reply #1 on: December 02, 2017, 09:51:00 PM »
Could someone please post or send me a pic of the washer sizes and the order that they go on the comet clutch I think mine are right but someone told me today that the large washer that goes over the three outside bolts is supposed to be smaller and not snug up to those bolts. I can’t get a pic till Monday but some of you that know these machines inside and out probably know what I mean.  Thanks in advance
