Thanks for the video Joe! Wish I coulda stayed for the races as well! Maybe I'll strap up in June and see what happens!! LOL
-
Great Vid Joe ! :D
-
Thanks Joe!
Sorry I missed you.
-
Thanks for getting that 2 stroke race up so fast, Joe. Now I can see the changes that were made to the track & ya know, I like them! ;D. Was that Jim that rode up the dirt & rolled? Did he break a chain or something?
-
That was Jim G. They got him started and he was able to leave under his own power and finish his lap. It just took a lap or two. I think he could have caught a washout or something, tight turn and lots of speed. It looked like he could have entered the corner low and tight and tried to rotate it but had too much speed.
-
Don's, single cylinder two stroke.

i had started in the back of the pack and worked my all the way up to Don and Matt but they are
so hard to catch even harder to pass.
was a great weekend beautiful weather great racing
and night trail rides were a hoot.

Sounds like it was a great time, perhaps someday I can attend

Great videos, Joe; thanks for putting them up. What a great weekend! The weather was near perfect and the people that run the track and attend the races are the best. The only thing missing was the team from out west! (I know, I know)...

Hey Don, was that you that hit the joker lap mud hole hard, machine airborn and "belly flopped" it into the middle of it? It was a sight to see the big splash especially when the hole was full of water.

Yes, I was one of them anyway. I figure the more time you're in the air, the less time you have to flounder in the water.
-
I saw that coming around the corner a few machines back, thanks for clearing out the water for the rest of us!

From the aerial pics George posted, I'm guessing that the mud hole is an alternate optional way to go in that part of the track?

The alternate, longer mud pit route was added for a joker lap. Everyone had to do the joker lap 1 time in a race (except springers, they didn't do it).

Oh, that's something different. I know a few springers that would have taken that hole if they were there & had to & they aren't all out West. ;) ;D
-
Just want say thank you to all that where able to attend.I hope everyone had a good time a big thanks to mother nature for the beautiful weather all weekend. I should have something up for next year around the beginning of December.

The springers are the only ones that did not hit the water hole they had enough problems with the wet track. We watered and Springer was race # 2 they was slipping an slosing all over the place.

Great video Joe.
I got to Pine Lake late on Sunday about 8pm spent some time with Bud F. and Jim by the campfire. Wish my schedule would have work out this last weekend. To see you all.
So how was it to race on the new track?
-
Just a suggestion...doesn't matter whether you're racing or out in the middle of nowhere, it might be in your best interest to have fire extinguishers. We have small ones in ALL of our machines. They mount easy & don't take up much room. Back in the day, seems the spotters in different turns on the track always had one handy. Just something to think about if anything unexpected happens. It's just something people forget to put on their checklist. ;) Stay safe.
-
That is not a bad idea M.C. You never know when you might need one.

Yes, absolutely. We have small extinguishers in each of the race machines but up to this point never kept them in the trail riders. I figured that no one gets as silly on the trails as they do on the track, but after some of the stories that came back from the woods of Pine Lake last weekend, I think we'll be installing them in all the machines.

ascaw, do you own the Max II with the #60 chain?
-
ascaw, do you own the Max II with the #60 chain?
No. I have the red Max II with a winch and factory roll bar, it's pretty much a stock machine. I think you may be referring to Mike, Shanna's boyfriend. He has #60 chain in his and he has also changed the gear ratio a bit. He has a big motor in it also, probably 50 HP. He has done a lot in the way of beefing it up as he said he doesn't like things to break and he likes to beat on it.
-
My old Max 2 Had #60 Main and #50 Final Chain in it Stock. But the 60 chain all the way through the machine would be a nice upgrade !

Here's the springer race. Only 3 entrants this time around.

I don't recall seeing an ambulance there but the water truck made it slick - a high speed slip and slide.

lets see . 2500 $ donation, 2500 in gas, 2500 in lodging,food and disposables. 7500 $ divided by 4 laps equals 1800$ and some change a lap.
:'( :'( ::)

It was 5 laps so your expenditures would put it at $1500 per lap. They also had the last race that everyone could run at the same time - no classes. That was another 5 laps so that puts your cost per lap at $750. whistling popcorn

Thanks for posting the finishes in the classes, Little G, and to George for the videos. It was fun watching Air Bud chasing Dad in 2 stroke Mod. Almost got him, too. dance And if you had to take the waterhole once, guess it's best to get it out of the way, right away. ;D Nice air shots, George. ;D as usual.

Great Vid's ! Looks like a great weekend for all you guys banana

Jim Gerber just wondering, did you get your stuff from Matt.
Or did he stiff you again? popcorn popcorn
Someone needs to post this topic on that other site.

Hi Whipper;
still nothing but the awards banquet is this weekend. (so maybe)
We had arrangements made for pine lake but he didn't make it.
yes shipping is an option it was offered free with the awards.
-
I wonder what the Vegas odds makers would set the odds to that you will get your stuff this weekend or ever? popcorn
-
how about some side bets, lets say a set of tires hilarious

I think it would be cool if someone set up a tri-pod and a go pro
and video taped the awards banquet.

Had a great time at the Banquet.
lots and lots of awards to sit threw.
lots of cool different Chinese gift bags and a 50/50
all the award winners got a bag of stuff
i did gey my last years awards :))
i liked this years trophy's better than last. (accept the places that were printed on them 2nd and 3rd) whistling
food was ok,
Pine Lake won track of the year for the second year running.
8 of us amphibs showed two more than last year, i think thats all that were coming
the bumpkins never said they were coming for sure.
congrats to all the winners banana
-
i did gey my last years awards :))
In a word..relief. A year was an awful long time to make you wait.
-
Post a pic of the trophies you got, Jersey. Jimmy said they were nice, even if they aren't quite what your grandson thought they should look like. :) You didn't say what you won them for.
-
Told my Grandson I won a piston cup. Showed him my Piston trophy and Cup trophy. " Oh Papa thats not a piston Piston Cup trophy." Kids today can't fool them. Any way had a nice time at the awards banquet. The roast beef was actually very good and served hot. Real thick piece of Beef, not deli slices. Started late and ran late just like the races.
Did they shut the dinner down before serving dessert?
-
Some pic would be great.
-
Wow, they are nice AND they spelled your name right. ;D
-
I am Not saying a Thing ! :-X
Congrats on the win !!!!
