Everyone had to do the joker lap 1 time in a race (except springers, they didn't do it).

Oh, that's something different.  I know a few springers that would have taken that hole if they were there & had to & they aren't all out West.  ;) ;D

From the aerial pics George posted, I'm guessing that the mud hole is an alternate optional way to go in that part of the track?

The alternate, longer mud pit route was added for a joker lap.  Everyone had to do the joker lap 1 time in a race (except springers, they didn't do it).

I saw that coming around the corner a few machines back, thanks for clearing out the water for the rest of us!

Hey Don, was that you that hit the joker lap mud hole hard, machine airborn and "belly flopped" it into the middle of it?  It was a sight to see the big splash especially when the hole was full of water.

Yes, I was one of them anyway. I figure the more time you're in the air, the less time you have to flounder in the water.

Great videos, Joe; thanks for putting them up. What a great weekend! The weather was near perfect and the people that run the track and attend the races are the best. The only thing missing was the team from out west! (I know, I know)...
