yes looking forward to installing this, I am thinking about trying header wrap on the whole muffler, should keep the temp way down.
I will let you all know how it turns out when I do.

Did you just bend the pipe and slide it over the existing pipe and clamp it? Thanks for the response

I’ve had the same problem many times. Usually after a trip in bog then sitting till it drys out. If kept clean it doesn’t cause problems. As far a moving the muffler it can be done. Inside mounted is the way newer IIs have it. Makes for a lot of heat in engine compartment and several heat shields to protect the tub and seat. I purchase mandrel bent 1 1/4” tube  pieces to make up the exhaust. Most muffler shops won’t have anything that small. I’m sure some supplier near you has them.  You can find tube that will slip fit if you want it removable. I use Colombia River Manderl bending. Other side of contry from you but there site will give an idea of what is available. If you go up or out the back make sure you protect yourself from walking up and laying a hand on it. Wedge posted some pics of my II with inside muffler installed. Good luck and I agree with you on tracks.

Max 2 muffler

So we almost burnt down a couple hundred acres of marsh last week before the nor’easter. We’re using the max2 on a new peice of property, that, so far the tires haven’t got us stuck. (Still love those tracks whipper) so I need to move the muffler. I was thinking of cutting it off and having a muffler shop weld a peice on and bring it out the top by the motor. Could use any suggestions and it’s not for racing, just useing  the machine to run over phragmitis. Don’t need any chrome headers or anything else just a simple poor mans fix. Luckily the phrag that was jammed up by the muffler was smoldering and didn’t have a full blaze going. That would have been a mess. Thanks for the help.
