Oh Thank God!! You had me all worried here. What I have here is a tranny someone else butchered up and im goin thru it so my old popsicles can come out and get done right before they're junk as well! so my pin heights all vary to some extent so I'm gonna take .043 thou off the face and try to find the correct pin height after they're faced off I guess. any idea how much clearance I will need? or maybe a measurement on that pin height guage would be greatly appreciated as well!
As always Thank You for your time and assiststance on this Whipper

Just checked, you're right every washer I have is .032.
But still just take .043 off or the gears will have to much side play.

Where did you get those thrust washers?
That's sounds kinda thick. When I go to work tomorrow I'll check into that.

Yes Dave ,that .043 is the distance from the top of the pin to the face that the washer will sit on.
That is the thickness of 2 thrust washers. I've done several cases this way. I'll post the video here. and you can use
it for a reference. Don't forget to make a little ring for assembly of the pins so they are the right height when you press them in.

Ok Whipper I measured one of the fiber washers today. .032 a piece. Looks like I've gotta go.064 I guess!! Haven't looked at the drums because they're at work but I'll give them a look in the am.
Just an FYI on the new fiber washers👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

those kind of threads take up too much valuable space.

Well, let's be kind....Some people seriously have a need to know. BUT they never seem to be able to agree on anything for either and if your machine isn't running right, what difference does it make for either. If your terrain is different how can you compare the differences. On & On & ON....Sometimes you just have to make a decision & learn on your own what works for you in terrain that you ride and some are just afraid to make or can't make decisions no matter what.  :-\ Let them rolllllll.  ;D
