Wedge, that's probably what I'll end up doing.  I've heard differing opinions on them and was curious what those of you who are "in-the-know" thought. :D

Best thing for you to do is take them off nd ride it for a day . Then put them back on and ride it for another day.
Then you be the judge ?

I have a 2000 Max II and I removed mine, So much easier on the arms IMO. I dont jump it but I do go through some pretty thick stuff that people say no way is that possible.

I guess the best is to just remove them and drive for a few days and see if you like them or not.

My .2 cents

Larry

Model Citizen, those are excellent points as I have done the catching air and bouncing thing without meaning too.  I was glad I landed on all 6 and didn't hurt anyone or break anything.  ^-^

WFO - can't argue with that type of reasoning. hilarious

We use them on all of our machines. The MAX II springs are REALLY strong & when going on long rides my  biceps would get fatigued. Whip has light springs for the attexes & I had him put a lighter spring on mine. Somewhere in the middle. Made a world of difference. A lot of racers take them off which is O.K., but if you bounce or get air & are on your way down the only thing you are holding onto are the sticks. If your sticks aren't held forward one wheel might  be rolling & the other is not or not in sync. You risk rolling when that happens. So some tension helps avoid that. AND the tendency going up a hill , since the only thing to hang onto is the sticks, is to pull them back without even realizing that you're doing it. No matter how strong your springs are you have to be aware of holding them forward when needed. It all comes down to a matter of preference, IMO.
This video was taken after I had lighter springs put on & new aluminum wheels. I just wanted to see how it responded, so sometimes I headed toward a tree or a pile of rocks & then would turn just to avoid it. The response was instant. It did what I wanted it to do when I wanted it to do it. Just the way a woman likes.
rofl Looking forward to hearing more opinions though.

I would like to hear your opinions on using lateral springs.  My Max II has them and I have always used them.  I have heard both pros and cons to using them and would like to know your reasons for using or not using them.  I read the manual about starting in reverse so I know the official reason to use them.  Thanks in advance.  :)
