I run ALL Tsubaki Chain on ALL of my builds.
If the customer wants cheaper chain I tell them I can Not stand behind it .
Just not worth taking your sprockets out with Cheaper Chain !!

Yes I agree, never use that cheap chain crap.  I would run good O-Ring chain at least on the MAX IV  main drive chains, since
they carry all the loads and they are spinning twice as much per roller than the other longer chains

Thanks whipper I will put the max on blocks tomorrow, I finally got it out of the mud so now I figure itís a good time to check everything. Would the other chains be around the same.

For the T-20 drive chains I shoot for about 1/4" deflection.
Also check your sprockets out to be sure their not worn out, or have any run out.
You can do that check by putting the car on blocks and spinning the wheels slow and watch the T-20 chains to make sure they don't get tight and then loose again as you spin the wheel.
That's probably why most people break chains. Or they use the cheapest chain they can buy.

Can anyone tell me the approximate chain deflection that should be in both drive chains for a max 4.  These are the chains that go to the T20 trans.    Thank you.     Also it would be nice to have a go to section on this site to look up all the chains and belt info for the different machines, if itís already here please point me to it.
