Welcome to the site.  What type of recommendations or advice are you looking for?  It sounds like you have a good start at getting it back on the trails and also a working knowledge of them.  It's good to see another machine saved.

Hello fellow 6x6ers,
New to the group from CA (Don't hold that against me, please!). Moving to Hawaii this month.  I bought this rig back in the mid 80s and then sold it to a friend in the late 90s.  His window returned it to me last week. It sat outside in the elements for a few years. The body is cracked and badly faded. I got it running again after installing a new starter solenoid, ignition switch, and battery. Doing some gas tank and fuel line repairs this week and hopefully fully operational soon. I plan to ship it to Hawaii soon and use it on the farm and lava roads. Any recommendations and advice welcome.
