I don’t have the same machine but either whipper or wedge, advised me to remove my front chains, it was one of the best pieces of advice I got.

have a bigfoot so I would have to buy new tires along with the tracks, spacers etc. so was thinking it would be easier and maybe better to use the track system used on 4 wheelers. not worried about the flotation aspect just which would travel thru snow better.

Not exactly sure what you are after, but if its binding you're worried about just get "track tuners" for the middle wheels of your 6x6.

Gave that idea some thought years ago,two things came to mind I would think that trying to skid steer two separate track systems on one side might be a challenge, and I have seen plenty of wheelers and utv,s with tracks on stuck badly and a 6 wheeler with tracks wheel on by no issue, given the cost of track systems for 4 wheelers you can have tried and true aatv tracks and less maintenance

I have seen them run what thy call Half tracks. Putting them on just the two Back wheels.
Seams to work pretty good.
You Need all 6 on the ground as it supports the machine .

has anyone tried putting 4 wheeler tracks  like mattracks, on a 6 wheeler by taking off middle wheel and running on first and last axle?
