See if you can find a stamping or marking info on the plastic you are wanting to modify.

No clue on the type of plastic SXS's use. plenty of room between tire and inner fender for a couple extra inches.

What type of plastic is it?  The Max he molded is HDPE.  If it is a plastic you can mold with heat you need to keep clearances in mind. IE tire, suspension and anything else around there.

Hi Guys
got all my stuff moved then hit the road again.. we are looking at Artic Cat wildcat's, the ranger is not cut out for trails. my question is can I do some heat molding to the plastic in the driver side fender area where your left foot would be? I know it works on the MAX. I like the machines but could use another couple inches for my left foot,  I know whipper has done it for his clutch area on his max
