Just Treated our Bulk Tanks and equipment at work with Howes today.

Maybe the last batch of diesel you got was old or not up to standards to begin with.  The additive should help prevent this in the future.

well she used it for 2.5 hrs in 16 degree weather yesterday and it ran perfect..Just seems weird that this batch of fuel gelled up on her and we never had an issue before. and I never used any additives in the past.. but IIWII and it works and she is using additives now.. thanks all for helping, believe it or not this forum is my only go to ppl when I am gone as we have no support base at home. and the ppl we do know I dont trust to put air in my tires........

I second that, we use the same stuff at the end of the season for all the tractors because they are sitting over the winter. During spring and summer we use so much desiel fuel in the equipment it doesn’t have much sitting time.

Treat your drum with a Bottle of HOWES !
One of the Best on the Market and not real costly !!
It is All I use in the equipment at work. Just a FYI ( even if it late ?)

Interesting stuff
Being a aircraft mechanic is way diff then a car/diesel mechanic, I have been using off road diesel for years in my tractor. I have a 55 gallon drum that I start to fill up in the summer to prep for the winter while I am gone. well I guess off road diesel does not have anti gel additives in it, I never thought to use any as I have a heated garage. But my wife will spend up to 6-8 hrs a day sometimes snow blowing our property and I guess over the years it would separate and the wax was choking down the fuel lines. somedays it would be zero or colder outside (we have a heated cab)..so lesson learned, always use anti gel additive no matter what.. this cost me 280 dollars and 24 hrs of massive stress of my wife.....

I just need to use Jet A and put lubricity additive in it and be done with any gelling issues...........
